rarest item dropped..well i wouldnt say it was a item but,in the explorable out side the last mission in factions(forgot the name) the monk boss and its party started dropping 1k-1,700 gold,iv never seen it before or sense that time.

I got Jade Gorget drop in HoH once, it was the first i'd heard of it, it was exciting for a few seconds until I realised it was just another armour

I get a sup Vigor in average once per week or so, must depend on the playstyle.

Though in the current meagre economy it's nothing like the early days of Prophecies when a sup Vigor fetched 60-70k and you could farm 1-2 of them per hour. Here's one of my favourite shots from those halcyon days when my (since rerolled) elementalist could turn in 200k of cold hard gold per hour (the runes were salvaged before id'ing, and there are 2 sup Vigors and 1 major in that pile).

we will have to meet and go hunting then, because everytime i get a gold rune in UW etc its Hammer Mastery or Fast Casting, or some other crap gold.

those reward chest dont drop golds

but you can still get crystallines

(btw, flag the H/H away before opening it)

i noticed that mobs/chest never drops items of your profession

so i suppose the rarest is actually an item of your profession.

I think technically, rubies and sapphires are rare drops. I've gotten at least five from random monsters, though. The best had to be from a Crimson Skull, when I was intending to farm for Naga Skin there.

I got an ecto in that mission in the first month since game's release, don't even remember from what. Obviously I had no idea what it's for, so it sat in my storage for a couple weeks until I merched it.

I'm 100% positive this doesn't happen anymore since I've never heard of ecto dropping in riverside from anyone else, and obviously I have no evidence of it happening, but it dropped :P

I've been playing and farming for 31 months, and not a single black dye yet. A few Sup Vigors, maybe 4 or 5...

..I had a 3 month long battle getting a Soulwhisper's Guardian to drop. That guy just didn't want to sing for me.
